Student Helen Tang Hoi Ling, who is studying Operations Management, triumphed in a field of nearly 20,000 competitors from 122 countries, and was named one of six international winners in the L’Oreal Reveal online contest.
The contest is set up as an online business game. The participants are involved in creating and launching an innovative product. They undergo quantitative and qualitative assessments in five areas including research and development, business development, industry and supply chain, finance, and marketing. The process is intended to help them discover their career path in global business.
Helen and the other five winners were taken to Paris for a week to visit L’Oreal’s corporate office. Helen also was invited to meet the Supply Chain Managers of L’Oreal Hong Kong to learn more about Operations functions and career opportunities.
