A team of HKUST Business School's undergraduate students won the 6th Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Hong Kong Business Competition (Degree Category) held on 1 December in Hong Kong. The team was awarded the "Best Proposal", "Most Creative Team" and "My Favourite Team" awards of the competition.
This year, each contesting team was required to simulate a non-profit making project that is conducive to the development of creative industries in Hong Kong for an organization and prepare a business proposal for this project to bid for sponsorship from Create Hong Kong's CreateSmart Initiative.
Team members Brian Kwok, Cherry Wong, Jasper Li and Owen Chan, who all are studying BBA in Global Business, presented their business proposals for this project to the panel of judges comprising finance leaders and creative industry experts.
