A team of first-year students has won the University Student Category of the SCMP/IFPHK Financial Planner Awards 2012, earning internships and a $10,000 cash award.
The team had to devise a financial plan for a young couple with one child that would help them meet their life goals, including buying an apartment, paying for their daughter's education, starting their own business and retirement planning.
Team members Philip Chan Wai Ching, Marco Chu Chi Ho, Kenny Ng Cheuk Him, Rex Sin Sheung Tsun, who are all studying BBA in Global Business, had to present their plan in the final round before a panel of judges.
