Mr Cao Zhiwei, an alumnus of the HKUST EMBA for Chinese Executives Program, has been selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons by Guangzhou Municipal People's Government for his excellent professional endeavors and contribution to the society. This is the only award of its kind that honors outstanding young persons in name of the Government. The award is offered every two years.
Mr Cao, who graduated from HKUST in 2005, is now serving as Chairman of Guangzhou Newcity Investment Holding Group. He is a standing member of CPPCC Guangzhou Municipal Committee, Guangzhou Industry and Commercial Federation, and Guangzhou Youth Federation. He is also the Vice President of Guangzhou Real Estate Association and Guangzhou Real Estate Industry Society.
