Awarded by: Franklin Prize
Two professors have won repeat awards in the HKUST Business School Franklin Prize for Teaching Excellence.Professor Percy Dias of Information and Systems Management (ISMT) and Professor Stephen Nason of Management of Organizations (MGTO) were both honored for the second time. They also received awards in spring 2001.
Other winners were Professor Inchi Hu of ISMT, Professor Wilfried Vanhonacker of Marketing and Professor Caroline Wang of MGTO.
This is the first round of Franklin Prizes to be overseen by Professor Kevin Chen of the Department of Accounting, who has recently taken over as Chairman of the School Appointments and Substantiation Committee (SASC). At the award ceremony, Prof. Chen thanked his predecessor Professor Gary Biddle, Head of Accounting, for his key role in establishing the Franklin Prize in 2000. He praised Prof. Biddle for the highly valued contribution that he has made in recognizing good teaching at the School.
