The Business School has recently joined the Global Research Alliance for Sustainable Finance and Investment (GRASFI) to promote rigorous and highly impactful academic research on sustainable finance and investment. GRASFI organizes annual conferences, develops academic collaboration, and nurtures graduate students and junior academics working on sustainable finance and investment.
The School has also become one of the Founding Partners and Steering Group Members of the newly launched Hong Kong Chapter of Climate Governance Initiative (CGI) hosted by the Hong Kong Institute of Directors. Working in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, CGI reaches out to directors with the objectives of advancing knowledge, motivating action and propagating board practice in climate governance. CGI HK upholds the following objectives:-
- To gain climate awareness and skills.
- To embed climate considerations into board decision-making.
- To understand and act upon the risks and opportunities that the climate emergency imposes on the success of organizations.
With the above new initiatives, the School hopes to create significant “green” impacts in the academia, society and beyond.
