Professor Yuk-Shee Chan

Founding President, Beta Gamma Sigma
HKUST Chapter

The Beta Gamma Sigma HKUST Chapter has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 2000. We are proud to have set the precedent in Asia by establishing such a prestigious honors society to recognize the outstanding achievements of our students, faculty, and leaders in the business community.

For the past two years, we have built a strong foundation for the local chapter and I believe the time is right for me to pass the baton to Professor Gary Biddle, an accomplished scholar and a capable leader, who will succeed me as the Chapter President. I am sure the HKUST Chapter, under the new leadership, will continue to grow, both in numbers and in strength.

President, Beta Gamma Sigma
HKUST Chapter

I am honored to be the President of the Beta Gamma Sigma HKUST Chapter. It is a pleasure to see the local chapter, with its two-year history, receive enormous support from its members in the academic and business community at large. Earning membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is an honor that provides a lifetime of benefits and recognition. I would like to congratulate and welcome this year’s newly inducted honorees and members.

In addition to the recognition of your scholastic achievement, you will also be able to tap into the wider connection of the globally expanding Beta Gamma Sigma network.

I am delighted that the School is continuing to develop its strong link with international honors societies such as Beta Gamma Sigma, a long-standing and prestigious association that recognizes academic excellence and provides excellent opportunities for interaction between students, faculty and professionals. The members and honorees inducted each year by the society will join an elite company of the world’s top business and management professionals.
