Professor Yuk-Shee Chan

President, Beta Gamma Sigma
HKUST Chapter

The inauguration of the Beta Gamma Sigma HKUST Chapter last year was greeted with immense enthusiasm from all eligible candidates. The positive response indicated that recipients of the honor appreciated the value of the lifetime membership with this prestigious honors society. It also led to a Beta Gamma Sigma scholarship for our students.

With the continued support from this year's eligible candidates, the local chapter will again be able to offer a scholarship for a member in the year 2002-2003. I would like to congratulate and welcome our newly inducted honorees and members. In addition to the scholarship opportunity and recognition of scholastic achievement, our members will also be able to tap into the wider connection of the globally expanding Beta Gamma Sigma network.

Professor K.C. Chan

Acting Dean,
HKUST Business School

Congratulations to the newly inducted honorees and members! I am delighted that the School continues to develop its strong links with international honor societies, especially our association with Beta Gamma Sigma. It is a long-standing and prestigious organization that recognizes academic excellence and provides opportunities for interaction between students, faculty and professionals.

The School will continue to extend the reach and network of our local BGS Chapter and foster exchanges among its members and with the business community. I hope the Chapter will not only bring benefits to our students, graduates and the School, but also make a positive contribution to the world around us.
