HKUST Study: HK Workers Embrace AI Amid Job Concerns
Various media reported that a study led by HKUST Vice President of Administration and Business Prof. TAM Kar-Yan, one of the largest workplace AI studies conducted in HK in recent years, found that local workers hold mixed views on AI, embracing its potential while worrying about skill obsolescence and job security. Prof. Tam called on the government, employers and workers to strengthen AI-related reskilling and upskilling efforts to help the workforce adapt to changes in the job market.
