Kellogg-HKUST EMBA Continues its Reign as World’s Top Program for the 12th Time

The Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA (KH EMBA) program, offered jointly by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, is ranked No.1 in the latest Financial Times EMBA Ranking. The KH EMBA program has maintained its prominent status as the global leader by clinching the top spot for the 12th time.

HKUST President Prof. Nancy IP (front row, fourth left), KH EMBA Academic Director Prof. HUI Kai Lung (front row, fifth left), Program Director Ms Judy AU (front row, third left) and KH EMBA students celebrate the record-setting achievement for being ranked 12-time world’s No.1.
No other program on the chart comes close to this level of record-breaking performance, which is gauged by a range of 16 criteria such as program quality, school research capabilities, and alumni accomplishments.

When accessing alumni career progression, the ranking tracks graduates’ career advancements three years after earning their EMBA. Our graduates stood out among the top 100 surveyed programs this year, achieving the highest average salary of up to US$652,326 (over HK$5 million) per annum, representing an average salary increase of 89% between their pre-EMBA earnings and current salaries. They also reported a high level of satisfaction about their EMBA experience with an average rating of 9.64 out of 10.

Meanwhile, different diversity factors are being evaluated. These include the geographical and gender composition of both students and faculty, ESG program components, and the availability of international learning opportunities. The KH EMBA program has consistently delivered exceptional performance year after year. It is worth noting that the program underwent a random audit by KPMG this year as part of the Financial Times’ initiative to ensure the accuracy and integrity of surveyed programs.

Prof. TAM Kar Yan, Dean of HKUST Business School, said, “Our partnership with Kellogg continues to stand the test of time offering top-notch executive education that responds to the evolving needs of our society. KH EMBA’s long-lasting triumphs are exemplified by the global influence of its diverse and international network, and its commitment to creating a meaningful impact in both local and global communities.”

Prof. Francesca Cornelli, Dean of Kellogg School of Management, stated, “KH EMBA represents a distinctive 26-year partnership that brings together outstanding faculty from the best business schools in the world to deliver an unparalleled global business education, and I am so pleased to see its continued recognition as the top global EMBA program by the Financial Times. Thanks to our wonderful partnership with HKUST and Dean Tam, we will continue to strengthen what Kellogg and HKUST excel at: providing students with the skills necessary to lead, collaborate and drive impact in today’s complex and rapidly evolving global business landscape.”

“We love being ranked No.1, but it’s never really been our main goal,” said Prof. HUI Kai Lung, KH EMBA Academic Director. “What we care more about is how our students will continue to grow – perhaps by advancing further in their career journey, or by creating new ventures that have a positive impact on society and the environment.”

The KH EMBA program was launched in 1998 to offer the best management education for international talent. Over the past 26 years, the program has nurtured more than 1,200 aspiring leaders who hold true to its “high-impact, low-ego” culture.
