The Executive Education Office was commissioned by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) for a three-day program on Transforming Business Using AI held in Kuwait in late August.
A group of 45 Kuwaitis from various industries including construction, education, financial institutions, health, information and communications technology, insurance, real estate, retails, and more attended the program delivered by Professor Jean WANG, Associate Professor of Business Education of Information Systems.
Comprising lectures, case studies, and Microsoft Azure Lab, this program is designed to bridge the gap between business strategies and technical know-how. Participants have gained a broad understanding of Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts, explored the state-of-art use cases of AI and ML technology in business, identified new opportunities and potential risks brought by AI, and recognized how to communicate effectively with the data science and machine learning team.
In addition, Prof. Wang gave an evening talk on Effective Data Visualization for Decision Making, for more than 100 executives at KFAS’ headquarters, which was very well-received.
In October, Professor Allen HUANG will teach another three-day program on Enriching Research Using AI for another group of 45 researchers in Kuwait.
