MBA Team Won Case Competition Organized by USC Marshall

An MBA student team “Galapagos” comprising Calvin CHAN, CHEN Wensi, Mariya KANEDA and Abhijeet PAUL won the First Place at the USC Marshall’s ‘Everyone’s Business Global Case Competition’ held in Los Angeles.

With the financial support from the Franklin Fund for Business Competitions, the winning team developed a fully digital and/or hybrid prospecting and client acquisition strategy for UBS financial advisors to adopt among successful multicultural women entrepreneurs in the U.S. As the only contestant from a non-American school, our MBA team created a winning solution that effectively addressed multidisciplinary issues in a culturally specific U.S. market segment.

The winning team, (from right) Abhijeet PAUL, Mariya KANEDA, CHEN Wensi and Calvin CHAN thanks the support from the academic advisor, Prof. Stephen NASON, and the teachers in the Enhancing Professional Skills Course – Professors Chris DORAN, Larry FRANKLIN, KOH Tat Koon and Joseph SALVACRUZ.
