Warmest welcome to all new joiners of the HKUST Business School!
On Aug 29, the Business School hosted the first-ever Welcome and Orientation at the Shaw Auditorium on campus, with over 400 undergraduate freshmen joining the event in person, and more than 200 students watching the live-streaming online.
At the event, Dean of HKUST Business School Prof. TAM Kar Yan and Associate Dean (UG Programs) Prof. Allen HUANG gave welcome speeches and offered words of encouragement to the new students as they begin a new chapter of life at HKUST. In addition, our alumnus Benedict YUEN shared the experience of his slash career as well as tips to succeed in the university journey.
To add some fun and energy to the orientation, the HKUSTSU Band Society and Dance Society gave amazing performances. Student representatives of the Business Cohort Community and Peer Mentoring Program Committee also took the opportunity to introduce the resources and support available for new students.
