The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) released the results of the 2020-2022 “RIBA China Architect 100 Program", listing our EMBA Class 05 alumna, YE Min (Michelle), also founding partner of Fei (Fei Architecture, Fei Art Museum) and principal architect of Fei Architecture.
"RIBA China Architect 100" is the most important project since RIBA's entry into China. For the past two years (2020-2022), RIBA examined representative Chinese architects on the basis of their strategic values of “inclusiveness, ethics, environmental protection and collaboration”, and their potential from a global perspective, and then selected a list of architects for the competition.
As Class “1” Registered Architect Qualification of PRC, Michelle registered as the RIBA Chartered Member in 2020. She founded the Fei Architecture in 2005, and has operated the Fei Art Museum since 2007. The Fei Art Museum has become the most historical private not-for-profit contemporary art gallery in Southern China. She proposed the concept of "artecture" in 2012, attempting to break the boundary between architecture and art. On the basis of this mindset, Michelle has been promoting the notion of "unbounded" since 2016, and has launched several projects like "Vegetable Art Museum," "People's Garden," and "Architecture, or Architecture" to demonstrate how architects and artists may construct "borderless communities" in a variety of ways. She is also the winner of several global grand awards including WAN 2020 Gold Award and DEZEEN 2020 Award.
