Congratulations to two teams from the School’s undergraduate programs for their outstanding performances at the Hong Kong Joint University Case Competition (HKJUCC). Comprising Year 2 Global Business students HUNG Yun-yeh, SO Chi Ching and WONG Hoi Tung and Year 1 Economics student POON Lok Sun, team Ace Advisory was named the First Runner-up.

Team Daemon, formed by Year 1 Global Business Students FAN Chengyi, Megan O Yik Wai, Monika Julia PIWOWARCZYK and David TSE, made it all the way to the competition’s Final Round, with team member David garnering the Best Presenter Award.

Open to students from universities in Hong Kong, the competition enables participating students to strengthen their case competition techniques, while facilitating mutual learning, networking, and exchange of ideas. This year’s contest was held in virtual format. Participants were given 48 hours to crack a case on “Xiaomi: At a Crossroads” to revive investors’ confidence in the case company.
