The Fintech Research Project of HKUST Business School has published a definitive Chinese-language book about Hong Kong’s fintech journey. Entitled《迎接金融新時代—香港金融科技實踐與前瞻》, the book is specially curated to promote fintech to the wider population of Hong Kong. Featuring articles contributed by 34 influential local fintech players and faculty members from HKUST Business School, the book is available for purchase at major bookstores in Hong Kong and online.

Contributing writers hail from various different sectors of the fintech ecosystem to share their insights and expertise in this pioneering project, including government representatives, regulators, entrepreneurs, and industry experts in banking, insurance, digital assets, digital payments, regtech, blockchain, and artificial intelligence.

From first-hand narratives that collectively describe Hong Kong’s past, present, and future fintech journey, readers will gain a new understanding and fresh perspectives of Hong Kong’s establishment as a global fintech hub, the usage of technology to break down financial service barriers, as well as challenges and opportunities in the post-COVID era. What’s more, the book also offers a holistic view of Hong Kong’s fintech landscape and the tremendous prospects of the industry. From fintech beginners to seasoned practitioners, readers will also uncover invaluable knowledge to inspire a new generation of fintech talents.
