Supported by InvestHK and Finnovasia, this year’s Hong Kong Fintech Week was successfully concluded through a hybrid format and brought more than 20,000 attendees together and over 4 million online views.

Engaging with industry experts is one of the most effective ways for students to gain valuable and practical knowledge while improving their networking skills. During the event period, 100 HKUST students participated online and offline, where they have learned and connected with like-minded entrepreneurs and innovators, and explored various industry opportunities.

What’s more, ten students from the World Bachelor in Business (WBB) and MSc in Financial Technology programs attended the Hong Kong Fintech Week in person and experienced one of Asia’s largest fintech events and connected with various fintech companies!

"Not only did I learn valuable insights about cryptocurrency, but I also gained solid leads on jobs that I am interested in. I also made new friends along the way! After the event, we were fortunate to also attend an after party hosted by AAX – a Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency exchange," said Davis NERSESIAN, a Year 4 WBB student.

"We must adopt a top-down mindset and way of thinking, pay attention to customers’ complaints, and innovate. I have gained so much from attending various talks that covered a wide range of fintech topics. Now, I have a deeper understanding of the entire fintech industry,” said Yunsheng CAI, who has enrolled in the MSc in Financial Technology program.
