The Fintech Research Project has organized two industry talks in April to explore top trending skills in the current fintech job market.
On April 21, Miss Florence LAM from Financial Career Insights shared the latest market trends and highlighted the importance of data analytics and python programming skills for fintech jobs. She also discussed the application of python knowledge and other in-demand skillsets in the field and shared sample python questions raised in actual job interviews.
On April 29, Mr. Kenneth LAU, Head of Fintech Consulting Practice and Head of Blockchain Innovation Centre, and Mr. Howard WONG, Chief Fintech Evangelist and Head of RegTech Advisory of FORMS HK, shared insider tips on how to become a successful blockchain developer. Additionally, third year student CHAN Pak Hei from the Economics and Finance program (ECOF) shared his valuable internship experience participating in a central bank digital currency project at FORMS HK. He also talked about how the internship has helped him gain practical industry knowledge to support his career development in the fintech industry.
