Professor Siu Fai LEUNG from the Department of Economics has been appointed by the HKSAR Government to join the Communications Authority as a member. Established under the Communications Authority Ordinance (Cap. 616) in April 2012, the authority is an independent statutory body that regulates and oversees the converging telecommunications and broadcasting sectors. It is committed to fostering a favorable environment for the development of the communications industry in Hong Kong.
