The Information Systems Research Workshop organized by the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics & Operations Management (ISOM) is an occasion where PhD students and assistant professors can present their work-in-progress for review and critique by a panel of senior academics who are/were Editor-in-Chiefs or Senior Editors of MIS Quarterly and Information Systems Research.

Held in early July, the five-member panelists included Prof. Ahmed ABBASI of the University of Notre Dame, Prof. Andrew BURTON-JONES of the University of Queensland, Prof. Anandasivam GOPAL of Nanyang Technological University, Prof. Elena KARAHANNA of the University of Georgia, and Prof. Arun RAI of the Georgia State University.
The event kicked off with welcome remarks by the Acting Dean of the School and Chair Professor of ISOM Prof. HUI Kai-Lung. The workshop received many high-quality papers, and more than 40 participants attended including faculty members and research postgraduate students from local and overseas institutions.
