Digital payment has emerged as a crucial financial tool that caters to the needs of individuals and businesses amidst the increasing reliance on smartphones and online platforms. Recognizing the importance of digital payments for the growth of fintech, the Fintech and Green Finance Projects of HKUST Business School organized the highly welcomed fintech workshop, "Exploring the E-Wallets Landscape and Career Pathways" in April, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to navigate the rapidly evolving fintech industry.
Led by Mr. Niket MURUDKAR, Business Manager from PayMe by HSBC, the workshop highlighted the significance of e-wallets in transforming financial transactions. The workshop witnessed active participation from the students, who eagerly embraced the chance to delve into the world of digital payments and its vast potential. It offered interactive sessions where students were provided with insights into digital payment trends and career guidance in fintech.
“The workshop provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the role of e-wallets and their impact on financial transactions,” shared a Year 1 student studying MSc in Financial Technology. "We are now better equipped to pursue professional careers in the fintech sector, thanks to the valuable guidance provided during the workshop."
With the successful conclusion of the workshop, the Fintech and Green Finance Projects team reaffirms the commitment to fostering knowledge and innovation and continues to offer diverse learning opportunities to equip students for success in the growing fields of fintech.
