No. 1 in BusinessWeek and No. 8 in Financial Times Ranking
Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, US, has been ranked among the top global performers in the latest international business education rankings. The Kellogg School ranked No.1 in the world in the BusinessWeek Best B-School survey, which was released on 10 October, and No. 8 in the Financial Times Executive MBA (EMBA) rankings, released today.
The Kellogg School offers its joint EMBA degree program in Asia through a partnership with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology's School of Business and Management (HKUST Business School).
K.C. Chan, Dean of HKUST Business School, congratulated Kellogg on its remarkable showing in the BusinessWeek and Financial Times rankings. "Kellogg is doing well in these rankings. We are proud to have Kellogg as our partner. Our strategic alliance enables us to provide a first-rate executive education that leverages on the strengths of the two schools and blends the best of east and west," Chan said.
Steve DeKrey, Associate Dean of HKUST Business School and Director of the Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program, said, "The Kellogg-HKUST EMBA program has gone from strength to strength since its inception in 1998. Though the joint program was not ranked this year, we expect to be on the (Financial Times) list next year as our alumni number increases."
The Financial Times EMBA survey is based on the responses to two questionnaires: one for the business schools; the second for alumni who have been in the workplace for three years since graduation. The BusinessWeek rankings are based on the opinions of corporate recruiters and MBA students worldwide, and from BusinessWeek's own measure of each B-school's intellectual capital.
