The Hong Kong Coalition, convened by the former Chief Executives of the HKSAR Government, Mr. TUNG Chee Hwa and Mr. LEUNG Chun Ying, has commissioned four projects to enhance the city’s competitiveness. Prof. XU Yan from the Department of Information Systems, Business Statistics and Operations Management, was invited to join the research project in strengthening Hong Kong’s status as an international hub for trade. A related research report has been released recently, providing a comprehensive review of the challenges and opportunities faced by Hong Kong, with suggestions on how to leverage opportunities for offshore trade and e-trade.
