HSBC Life Insurance Innovation Competition

HSBC Life has organized the HSBC Life Insurance Innovation Competition to encourage young talent to develop innovative ideas for the insurance industry. The competition is open for students from any university in Hong Kong to submit their ideas that will help HSBC Life enhance product and proposition innovation.

Five of our teams from the Business School made it to the final round beating 47+ entries and clinched the top spots and other awards:

HSBC/HKU Hong Kong Business Case Competition 2024

Another undergraduate student team won the championship in the HSBC/HKU Hong Kong Business Case Competition 2024, organized by the Asia Case Research Centre of HKU Business School.

Comprising Tiffany CHEUNG (Year 2, Global Business), Regis CHONG (Year 2, Global Business) Stanley HUNG (Year 4, Global Business & Finance), and Tommy WONG (Year 2, Global Business), the team competed with eight other local universities in a preliminary case featuring a tech education company. In the final round, they impressed the judges with innovative ideas, providing technology-driven solutions to a top airline to enhance customer experience and cope with industry changes and unforeseen disruptions. Special thanks to Prof. KOH Tat Koon, for being the team advisor!

Apart from the HKD8,000 prize, the winner of the Hong Kong competition will have the honor to represent the city to compete with 23 other university teams worldwide in the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition 2024 in May.
