One of the Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office’s major educational programs “HKUST Global Family Leader Succession Program: Family Succession and Governance” was successfully launched on December 7-9.
The program was delivered by an exceptional faculty team comprising renowned family business scholars and prominent family business owners. Family business owners and their family members from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia attended the program, representing a diverse range of industries with a balanced representation of both the current and next generation of family leaders.
The program featured original research and case studies that addressed the practical challenges faced by Asian family businesses, covering topics such as family governance, succession planning, decision-making, and family trust.
The program has received enormous positive feedback from the participants who described its content as practical and useful, with valuable insights applicable to both personal and professional life.
“This program wouldn’t have been successful without the support and guidance from the Dean of Business School Professor TAM Kar Yan, our Center’s Senior Advisor Professor Roger KING, and the two Program Advisors Dr. Vincent H.S. LO and Professor Jess CHUA,” said Professor Winnie PENG Qing, the Director of the Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office. The Center will continue to conduct such educational programs in the future.
