Public Perception of Virtual Assets and Tokenized Money

19 Given the overall low interest in holding virtual assets among the Hong Kong population, it is unsurprising that the majority of respondents (55.02%) prefer to invest less than HKD 10,000 in virtual assets. Furthermore, less than 10% of respondents are willing to invest HKD 100,000 or more. A significant majority (87.73%) would allocate less than 10% of their overall portfolio in virtual assets, with 66.21% willing to invest less than 5%. Among various types of virtual assets, Bitcoin is the most popular, with 80.73% expressed interest in holding it. Less than a quarter are interested in holding Ether, and even fewer in stablecoins and NFTs. Figure 13. Preferred Amounts to Invest in Virtual Assets Figure 14.
