ATTITUDES TOWARDS VIRTUAL ASSETS INVESTMENTS The Hong Kong population exhibits a slight tendency towards disinterest in holding virtual assets, likely due to insufficient awareness and knowledge about them. There is a notable difference in interest in holding virtual assets between respondents who are aware of virtual assets and those who are not. Those aware of virtual assets display higher tendency towards holding virtual assets in the future, while those not aware of virtual assets exhibit more disinterest. Overall, nearly 30% of respondents indicated that they would not want to hold any virtual assets, almost half remained uncertain, and less than a quarter expressed interest in holding virtual assets in the future. The main reasons for disinterest in holding virtual assets in the future are consistent with those who have never held or are not currently holding virtual assets. These reasons include: virtual assets are too risky (65.09%), lack of knowledge about virtual assets (62.35%), and the belief that virtual assets are not properly regulated (51.83%). Figure 11.
