23 7.	Salary Expectations Reveal Pragmatic Views on Compensations To gauge respondents’ expectations on compensation, they were asked to indicate what they considered a reasonable range for the average monthly salary for entry-level positions (roles that typically require no prior experience) and junior executive-level positions (roles that typically require one to four years of experience). For entry-level roles, the most common expectation was a monthly salary between HKD 20,001 and HKD 30,000, selected by 47.8% of respondents. For junior executive roles, expectations shifted upward, with 38.6% anticipating salaries between HKD 30,001 and HKD 40,000. These expectations are broadly aligned with market norms and suggest that respondents hold a pragmatic view of compensation, balancing ambition with realistic benchmarks.
