16 KEY FINDINGS AND OBSERVATIONS Overall, the above findings point to gaps in understanding. The level of knowledge varies considerably among respondents, suggesting a need for clearer public education and more comprehensive outreach efforts. To assess respondents’ conceptual understanding, each correct answer was awarded +1 point and each incorrect answer -1 point, resulting in a possible score ranged from -2 (for selecting only incorrect statements) to +2 (for selecting all correct statements). The assessment revealed that most respondents (36.5%) selected only one correct statement or by choosing two correct statements along with one incorrect statement, indicating partial understanding of the topic. Meanwhile, 34.8% of respondents demonstrated a strong grasp of the topic by identifying all correct statements without choosing any misconceptions. 14.7% selected a mix of correct and incorrect statements. A further 12.7% showed limited understanding, with incorrect choices outweighing correct ones. Only 1.3% misunderstood the topic entirely, selecting only statements based on misconceptions.
