Its curriculum is organized into five strategic themes: strategic anchoring, ecological reconstruction, value transformation, and global power dynamics, providing participants with a holistic understanding of the forces reshaping industries today. With its tagline, “Gain Insight into the Essence of Technology, Set a New Quality Benchmark,” the Entrepreneur Innovation and Technology Scholar Program underscores the School’s commitment to fostering visionary leaders who will shape the rules of global competition and drive innovation in the future. The HKUST Business School has unveiled a transformative executive education initiative, the “Entrepreneur Innovation and Technology Scholar Program,” in collaboration with the School of Engineering and the School of Science. This pioneering program is designed to address the accelerating waves of technological disruption reshaping industries worldwide. By integrating the expertise of HKUST’s world-class faculty with insights from leading scientists, engineers and entrepreneurs, the program equips senior executives with the tools to navigate and lead in an era defined by the convergence of innovation and business strategy. The program’s launch comes at a critical juncture in global industry, as breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and other advanced technologies drive unprecedented changes. From the steam engine that fueled the first industrial revolution to today’s AI-powered tools and blockchain technologies, innovation continues to be the engine of economic transformation. The program positions participants to thrive in this fourth paradigm shift, enabling them to shape and lead the next industrial era. Acting Dean of the Business School, Professor HUI Kai-lung, emphasized the importance of this program in the current geopolitical and technological landscape. “As technological advances gather pace, rising geopolitical risks and trade conflicts are profoundly reshaping the international order and geo-economic landscape. Global industrial chains are being refigured, and trade is evolving toward regionalization and fragmentation,” he said.
