The Fintech Talent Development, Competency, and Manpower Study 51 Sources of Fintech Professionals Overview of Fintech Degree Programs in Hong Kong To provide an overview of the content of UG fintech programs offered by local universities, we retrieved all course descriptions of these programs and created a word cloud as shown in Exhibit 19. The key areas are highlighted. Besides equipping students with the essential knowledge and skills in both finance and technology for applying technological innovations to financial services, the UG programs also focus on training students to have a broader mindset and the all-round capabilities that will allow them to have a comprehensive career pathway. By training them in general business, mathematics, statistics, computing, information technology, law, etc., graduates can contribute not only to the fintech industry but also other industries.
