Global Reach and Gateway to China

The HKUST Business School, through active international academic partnerships as well as program and research collaborations, seeks to contribute to global interconnections and serves as a gateway to China.

Global Reach

Our extensive international network comprises around 130 global exchange partners at the undergraduate level, and about 80 global exchange partners at the MBA level.  This international network provides a platform for students to immerse themselves in the contemporary Asian and global business world.

The School's partnerships with leading business schools in joint degree programs have also been instrumental in building our international prominence. These include the acclaimed Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA program in collaboration with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in the US, and Master of Science in Global Finance with New York University's Stern School of Business. The School has also launched another Master of Science in International Management program with CEMS, a global alliance in management education, and a pioneering World Bachelor in Business in partnership with the University of Southern California in the US and Bocconi University in Italy.

Non-degree executive education programs providing multi-institutional experience and expertise include programs run in conjunction with well-known universities around the world.

Gateway to China

China is an important part of the world economy. Our proximity to Mainland China provides students with an exceptional learning experience in its culture and socio-economic development as well as cross-border business practices. The School has steadily expanded its presence in Mainland China with the opening of offices in Beijing and Shenzhen, the launch of HKUST EMBA for Chinese Executives Program, as well as executive education programs tailored specifically for the Mainland market.

The School is internationally recognized by the world's prominent business education organizations including the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the Association of Asia Pacific Business Schools, GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council), CEMS, the Global Network for Advanced Management, and Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS the international honor society for business programs accredited by AACSB International).
