[eNews] NUS Claimed Top Honor in the 4th Global MBA Challenge

The fourth Global MBA Challenge attracted 12 teams from top business schools around the world to participate in a case challenge last weekend. The rigorous case competition, organized by the MBA students of HKUST, took place between April 25-27 on HKUST’s stunning campus in Clear Water Bay.

The Global MBA Challenge is one of the most prestigious international case competitions that draws students to participate in an East-meets-west Multifaceted competition. It is a great platform to connect top talent not only with one another, but with global business executives in Asia’s financial centre, Hong Kong.

This year, the competition attracted 30+ teams to submit their applications, and only the top 12 teams were selected to participate. Selected teams gathered to work on three case presentations written by students under the supervision of Department of Management faculty member Stephen W. Nason. A challenging flash case, demanding negotiation case and an APAC-specific business strategy case were presented to the participating teams.

The HKUST Full Time MBA team was named the winner of the Negotiation Case, while HEC Paris won the Flash Case. NUS was the winner of the Strategy Case and was named Overall Winner.

Thanks to sponsors Madhead, M17 Entertainment, and Keystone, students, faculty, and staff enjoyed an intensive but rewarding weekend.
