The start of a new academic year is always an exciting time. This year, nearly 900 freshmen have joined the HKUST Business School, with students from almost 20 different countries.

They got together on 26 August 2018 to celebrate the new academic year with over 100 Peer Mentors (PM) and senior students from Business Cohort Community (BCC). The event was kicked off by Dean of the School Professor Tam Kar Yan, Professor Anirban Mukhopadhyay, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, and Professor Emily Nason, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs.

A series of activities and games were led by the PMs and BCC, while two student-led groups, BUST Band and Dance Society, performed songs and dances on stage. The Sports Hall was filled with excitement in every corner. We hope all the new students have a wonderful learning journey in HKUST!
