[eNews] Leadership and Decision Program for New Client - the China Merchants Group

The Executive Education Office has provided a program for a new corporate client – the China Merchants Group.

A one-day program on “Leadership and Decision” was conducted for the Group’s senior executives in Shekou, China. This program was part of their one-week in-house training, where about 80 senior executives of China Merchants Group and its subsidiaries attended.

To enhance the participants’ leadership skills and improve their abilities in leading teams to make quality decisions and achieve organizational goals, the program included key elements such as team leadership, effective team decisions, common decision traps and quality decision making, among others.

This practical program was led by Professor Caroline Wang, Adjunct Professor in the Management Department and ex-Vice President at IBM. Professor Wang shared her real life experience in leading teams and making decisions in different functions and countries. Meanwhile, participants were given opportunities to discuss and practice their acquired skills through lectures, experience sharing, case discussion and role play.
