[eNews] Alumni Family Week 2018

Our alumni community has been expanding over the years. In an effort to engage alumni who graduated from different programs and years, the School’s Alumni Development Office organized a special homecoming event - Alumni Family Day, on campus on 1 May, when close to 1,000 alumni and their family members attended.

The Lee Shau Kee Business Building was filled with carnival fun and laughter. There were exciting game booths, handicraft stations, a photography workshop, as well as a colorful LEGO® brick-building area and bouncy castle. One of the highlights was the opening and lucky draw of LEGO®-sponsored presents, officiated by Dean Professor Tam Kar Yan.

Two days after the Alumni Family Day, an Alumni Parenting Talk by our MBA alumnus Oscar Lee, Principal Anchor of Now TV and columnist, was held at our HKUST Business School Central. With over 100 alumni parents and parents-to-be attending, Professor Emily Nason, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Student Affairs), represented the School to thank Oscar to thank him for his talk.

SBM Alumni Lunch Series 2018 – Monthly Get-togethers around Hong Kong

Meanwhile, the Alumni Lunch Series 2018 has commenced. Since January, four lunch gatherings were organized for over 150 alumni, including the one held in a western vegetarian restaurant, owned by our alumni Arthur Au (BBA-in Marketing) and Gary Lai (BSc in Economics & Finance) in April. The lunch series has provided a great opportunity for alumni working in different office locations to network and reconnect. Please join us on 20 June in Wan Chai!
