[eNews] MSc in Information Systems Management Celebrates its 20th Anniversary

In celebration of its 20th Anniversary, the HKUST MSc in Information Systems Management (MScISM) program held a dinner on 5 May 2018. Over 170 program alumni, students, faculty and guests gathered at the Kerry Hotel, Hong Kong, to celebrate this joyous occasion.

The event started with welcome remarks by Professor Tam Kar Yan, Dean of HKUST Business School, and Professor Ted Clark, Academic Director of MScISM program.

To give participants an update on recent IT topics, a keynote speech was given by Professor KC Chan, Adjunct Professor and former Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong Government on the topic of “FinTech in Hong Kong”. It was followed by a panel discussion on “Cyber Security Development in Hong Kong” by two industry experts, Mr Luke Ma (2011 Intake), ‎Head of Security Consulting, North Asia of ‎NTT Security, and Mr Michael Leung, Chief Information and Operations Officer, China CITIC Bank International Ltd.

The dinner was held not only to celebrate the anniversary of the program, but to also provide a great opportunity for the alumni, students and faculty to reconnect and stay tuned about our recent developments.
