Awards & Achievements

Five full-time MSc students studying Financial Technology (MScFinTech) won the first runner-up prize at the Hong Kong Techathon 2021 competition. Working under the theme of AI and fintech, the team was awarded for their innovative business ideas and prototypes.

Through a seven-day virtual challenge co-organized by the Hong Kong Science Park and six local universities, participants initiated business solutions related to new generation technology, AI and fintech, smart city, and social impact and health tech. Working collaboratively to develop innovative ideas and prototypes, participants also pitched their ideas for seed funding and incubation support.

Applying their knowledge and skills learned through the MScFinTech program, the HKUST team developed an innovative “find, fill and sign” app to help users complete and sign forms accurately and efficiently with AI.
